My boyfriend likes to design websites and wants to do it as a second job. I want to get him a good program for Christmas. Can anyone recommend a good one that is reasonably priced?

    Try WebEasy6, its around $40 and works great!

    On the Mac, there’s Freeway Express from SoftPress software for $89 and RapidWeaver for $49.

    For Windows, there’s CoffeeCup Designer for $49.

    For the more ambitious who don’t mind something more geared towards a web developer there’s Coda from Panic for $79 on the Mac and the free open source Aptana Studio Community Edition for Windows, Mac and Linux.

    You could get Visual Web Developer Express Edition from the Microsoft website for free!

    Lots of power, a nice Integrated Development Environment and comes with a lot of free tutorials… and the best part… IT’S FREE!!!

    I’ve used the Visual Studio Express Editions since 2005 and love them. A lot of drag and drop controls with little programming experience needed. Also integrates well with Popfly and writing applications for Facebook.

    Dreamweaver is the industry standard.
